The Voices of Washindi-Speaker’s Bureau

A community and platform for survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence to share their stories of resiliency and courage through the incorporation of the arts and craft of storytelling. Additional Training is required.


If you love sharing The Hive, then tabling may be of interest to you. In this role you will have the opportunity to connect with the community and share about The Hive at community based events.

Special Events Volunteer

Special event volunteers may not have the capacity to volunteer on a regular basis but desire to support our work. As a volunteer in this area you will be contacted to volunteer when we have Hive hosted events such as our Annual SC Survivors Summit or fundraisers.

Facilitator of Queens Gather

As a facilitator of Queens Gather, you have the opportunity to support survivors by leading our weekly healing circles. Preferred volunteers are survivors but may also be an ally. Facilitators may or may not have a background in counseling or group facilitation as training will be conducted for certification. (requires VSP certification, training, and interview)

Administrative Support

In this role, volunteers provide daytime support to the administration by providing office management such as answering the phone, filing, organizing materials, assembling, and more. (interview required)

BuzzPak Facilitator 

As a BuzzPak Facilitator for The Hive, you will have the opportunity to educate teens on healthy, unhealthy, and abusive relationships along with consent; Facilitation may also be provided to parents on ways to enhance their relationship with their teen as well as ways to support them in healthy dating. (requires facilitation training and interview)
